Both Vesta PDW50 and Sentinel are sold in 2 versions, depending on local regulations:

• Up to 19 joules

• Up to 7.5 joules

Furthermore, the Vesta Sentinel delivers up to 29 joules (based on customer feedback)

with the Tachyon-S Power Kit installed (sold separately).

Airgun kinetic energy measurement is tricky, as it can vary according to several external

factors:

1. Ambient temperature: The warmer, the more powerful shots.

2. Gun’s correct maintenance and lubrication. Less friction = more power.

3. CO2 cartridge: Not all cartridges deliver the same power.

4. Rate of Fire: Each time you take a shot, the CO2 will generate cold inside the gun.

A rapid rate of fire or intensive use of the gun may lower the power.

5. Ammo weight: Heavier projectiles generate more kinetic energy (to a certain

point).

6. Ammo diameter: The use of oversized ammo will increase friction (and possible

jamming of your gun), while undersized ammo will cause loss of airflow, resulting

in lower kinetic energy.

7. Chronograph: There are many types and brands of chronographs on the market,

and their quality and precision can vary greatly.

Furthermore, the energy calculation method can differ from one user to another:

maximum values, average values, weighted values... For legal reasons, Vesta

communicates only maximum values found in optimal shooting tests.

The 7.5-joule max version of our pistols is designed for countries where legislation restricts the maximum energy of less-lethal weapons. This version allows users to own and operate the Vesta pistols legally. For instance: Germany, Italy, Belgium, UK.

To increase the Sentinel's power to 29 joules, you will need to install the Tachyon-S barrel

Yes, in its base configuration, the Sentinel is slightly more powerful than the PDW50. With the Vesta Tachyon-S Power Kit installed, the Sentinel surpasses all PDW50 by far.

The effective range of the PDW50 (and Sentinel without power kit) can easily reach over 10 meters, depending on the ammunition used and external conditions. For optimal accuracy in a defense situation, we recommend engagement within 6 meters.

Vesta pistols can project ammunition over 30 meters under ideal conditions.

Yes. Both the PDW50 and Sentinel have been praised by users for their excellent accuracy. They are engineered for short to medium-range accuracy in legitimate defense configurations. Used with high-quality Vesta ammunition, users can expect consistent shot grouping and minimal recoil, especially at distances under 15 meters.
